Try to do this as often as possible, anyway this will just take about five minutes of your time everyday! If you need to clean your bookshelves, try to use a cloth that is made up of microfiber or a make up or clean paint brush to dust the sides and tops of the bookshelves and the book itself. If you still have time, remove the books and use the upholstery attachment of the vacuum cleaner to dust them. Those heavy, large books should be placed flat, not upright to protect the book itself. While you are going through this, check on each of the books and see if you have anything that you can donate or pass on to friends.myleshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06988670887033199136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7556296296334986450.post-52457072406110262592012-02-04T02:02:00.000-08:002012-02-04T02:02:00.648-08:00Buy T-Shirt OnlineJust recently, we celebrated my eldest brother Edwin 45th birthday at their house in Antipolo. We came there at around 3:00 PM with my mom and my hubby. My sister in law prepared so many dishes. After eating my brother started checking on the gifts we gave him. I'm happy he liked the distro t-shirt I've given him. I knew he'll love it because it has John Lennon's face in it which is his favorite singer of all time. He asked me where I purchased and is also interested in buying kaos clothing online so I gave him the website where I got it. Just so happy that my brother appreciates my effort in buying him a gift and that he likes it.myleshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06988670887033199136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7556296296334986450.post-9342550895935556552011-10-26T18:56:00.000-07:002011-10-26T18:56:57.504-07:00My Bestfriend's Ireland VisitFinally, after two years of waiting...my bestfriend Melai finally flew from the Philippines to Ireland. Her fiancee Josef is a Slovak citizen working as a chef in Ireland. Their love story is very unique as they met through online dating site they call tagged. They met, fell in love and is planning to get married early next year. At first I'm quite hesitant to approve their romance. She is a Filipina and he is a Slovak, there would definitely be a culture differences. I'm kinda afraid that their relationship might not work. Good thing, Josef proved me wrong. He's been a very nice boyfriend to Melai and finally, he asked her to fly and visit him in Ireland for the first time.

This would definitely be a challenge for Melai as she never had the chance to ride in an airplane in her lifetime and is actually afraid to fly. It’s good that Josef assured her that everything would be fine and gave her tips on how to be comfortable in an airplane. Everything went well.

When she made it to Ireland, she immediately emailed me and told me how she managed not to panic when they started to take off. I know that she is doing this for the love of her fiancé. She really enjoyed her vacation and was very excited to play in the snow. She said her fiancé is a sports lover and really love playing Snowboarding. She said her boyfriend gave her a present that is all associated with the sports he love. He gave her an Electric Snowboard Goggles and bought a Smith Snow Goggles for himself. I know my friend never loved any kind of sport, in fact, she is a homebody… but she forced herself to learn Snowboard just because of him. Sometimes, I got really amazed on what love can do to people.

She stayed with him for three weeks. I missed my friend. I know I won’t be able to see her anymore when she goes to Ireland the second time next year but I’m still happy that she would have a better life there. I just hope and pray that their relationship would work and they could manage their differences. I would definitely miss her. She is the only friend I have that really understands me and knows my inner self other than my husband. Well, enough of this, I might cry again. I just hope and pray my friend Melai will be happy with his Slovak lover and I hope they live happily ever after.myleshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06988670887033199136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7556296296334986450.post-91213847912101858502011-05-26T19:28:00.000-07:002011-05-26T19:28:37.142-07:00A House On A HillLast week, I met with a real estate agent whom I've met through the internet. She is offering me a house on a hill close to where my mother lives. I would really love to own a house in a place familiar to me. I got so excited when I heard from her that she had found a two storey townhouse on the same subdivision where I grew up. I asked Melai, my friend/officemate, if she might also be interested in getting the same property. The agent told me that there are a total of five townhouses on sale and I would love to have Melai as a neighbor.

When we got to the place, we were amazed of how beautiful the house is. It is a fully furnished house which is painted brown and pink. oh, I love the combination! Inside it is adorned with several meticulously crafted mirrored furniture. I can tell that it is not a joke to accesorize such huge property. Those venerian glass furniture I've found in the living room accentuate the theme of the house which is a a combination of classic and modern design. I already pictured my room with those huge mirrored bedroom furniture that would be perfect when combined with my Capiz lantern collection. I would definitely buy this house. I can't wait to file my housing loan application so I could finally settle on my house on a hill.myleshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06988670887033199136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7556296296334986450.post-5994628073191099872011-04-24T16:30:00.000-07:002011-05-21T09:02:39.060-07:00Create A Good Study Area

Do you want to encourage your child to buckle down and study his lessons instead of playing around the whole day? The solution is easy...create his own personal space like a study area! You just need to get him a colorful study table, you need to make sure you place it on a cool spot in his room and fill it with supplies such as pencils, coloring books, crayons which would definitely catch his attention. If your son usually do his homework in a hurry especially in front of the tv on a living room, this time by giving him a study area...he could not spend hours studying. What a great idea!
The dust and dirt that collect there seriously will reduce its operating efficiently and cause machine breakdown later.

* A temporary smell in the bathroom can be banished by lighting a match stick

* If your bathroom is badly stained, you can soak it with tepid water and biological detergent for a few hours. For really bad stains, make a paste of peroxide and cream of tartar and scrub vigorously with a stiff brush. Rinse the bathroom thoroughly before using.

* A little washing soda and boiling water poured down sinks will prevent fat from collecting in the pipe.

* A dirty glass flower vase will become sparkling clear in minutes if you fill it with water and add a good clash of bleach.

* When buying a pillow, compress it firmly between your hands. A good one will return to its original shape.

* When buying linen sheets, hold them up to the light to check their authenticity. If it is genuine linen, the fabric should appear uneven and thicker in places. Non-linen yarns will be uniform.
One worked straight through without stopping to rest. At the end of the day, he had a sizeable pile of logs. The other would chop for 50 minutes and then take a ten-minute break. At the end of the day, he had a much larger pile.

"How could you chop more?", asked the man who'd worked continuously. His friend replied, "When I stopped for rest, I also sharpened my ax." - Thomas B. Welch Jr.
Actually, I've been with my current company for almost four years now and in just a year, I can now avail of their early retirement plan. It would be a perfect time for me to have a life and do things I really love the most. Most likely I would just concentrate on my blogging career and would get some work at home jobs and maybe work as a part timer in a call center or in an online English teaching school. I would most likely have a very light schedule and would just use my spare time watching television and playing online casinos. I've been hooked to playing poker games through those usa casinos. I guess I would play online slots every night and would enjoy life. But how can I achieve that goal of having a convenient and happy life if I am stressed out and ready to give up anytime. I just hope and pray that I can still make it and can still force myself to stay till next year. I pray that God would lead me to the right path and give me the desires of my heard.myleshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06988670887033199136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7556296296334986450.post-89561344253217960432010-04-24T22:44:00.000-07:002011-01-03T20:16:10.445-08:00FIX ITCarpets
Here's some tips on how to reduce noise in a room.

1) Insulate the floor

2) Build up mass in the walls by adding another layer of dry wall

3) Finish the ceiling, walls and floors with sound absorbent materials such as cork, rubber tile, or carpeting.

4) Cover windows with heavy drapes another form of movable insulation.

5) If the noise is coming outside like a nearby highway, consider landscaping with shrubbery or fences to create a sound buffer.myleshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06988670887033199136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7556296296334986450.post-69550442213530816152010-02-03T19:41:00.000-08:002011-04-24T16:42:23.900-07:00The Disposable DealOn impromptu gimik-until-morning sessions, spur-of-the-moment out-of-town trips, or during emergency all-nighters at the office, many women may have to resort to wearing disposable panties. But are there substitute undies safe to be that close to you? Yes, as long as you change as often as you can! This is to avoid onset of any fungal infection. Just be sure that the disposable panties you use are made of cotton so that they're relatively free of any irritants. Just keep your vaginal area clean at all times as well.
Who cares if you're solo; no one said Valentine's was only for the coupled-up. Here's some of the ways to spread Cupid's cheer:

1) PICK A VALENTINE: Be it a dependable friend, a great boss, or even a long time crush. Take courage and tell them how much they mean to you.

2) WINE AND DINE: Instead of moping by your lonesome, gather your friends and go on a fancy group date - complete with candles and a good bottle of wine.

3) GET MUSHY: Bring on the rom-coms and tearjearkers and unearth your stash of romance novels. Make this the day to indulge in mush. Who knows? Life may be soon imitate art.

Everyone wants to be accepted and loved and one way to achieve that is to be by having a pretty face and a gorgeous body. Unfortunately not everyone was given that kind of physical appearance. Thanks to Science and it's recent discovery. Now, you don't need to be born beautiful just to be one. There are now numerous ways to achieve that perfect look with the help of beauty professionals and cosmetic surgeons who are willing to help us in our dream of becoming socially acceptable especially in the society that values physical beauty.

Through recent discoveries, doctors and surgeons was able to find a way to help us lose weight without diet nor exercise. It is a procedure called liposuction. I myself is thinking of undergoing los angeles liposuction as it is the simplest way of getting rid of these excess fat. Liposuction is A usually cosmetic surgical procedure in which excess fatty tissue is removed from a specific area of the body, such as the thighs or abdomen, by means of suction. I knew a number of showbiz personalities who'd undergone that kind of operation and I was amazed on how such procedure can take almost 30% of your total body fat. They look thinner and of course, more confident on how they looked like.

There are also other people who does'nt want to really lose weight but is wanting to get rid of
stubborn fatty bulges, loose skin due to multiple pregnancies or just wanting to have a flatter stomach. Then I would suggest they just undergo los angeles tummy tuck. Tummy tuck is a surgical procedure designed to flatten the abdomen by removing excess skin and fat, tightening the muscles of the abdominal wall. Tummy tucks can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen. Since it only concentrates on the abdomen part, the risks of this surgical procedure is very minimal.

There is nothing wrong with having a great body as it would definitely boost your self confidence. Here are some of the tips I can impart you from the book I just recently read: The Queen of Clean by Linda Cobb. Hope this helps.

The Treat

*Make up is much safer for children than masks, which can obscure their vision.

* Remove glitter make up and heavy dark make up from kid's faces with petroleum jelly. Gently work in the jelly (use care with glitter make up not to get it into the inner area), then tissue away the make up. Wash face well when done.

* Make sure to leave plenty of room for your child's clothes under the costume and make sure the costume isn't trailing on the ground. You don't want your child to trip!

* Make sure to check your children's candy before you let them eat it. If little ones are impatient, give them a piece of the candy you bought until you've had time to check the bounty.

* Put some reflective tape on costumes for the Halloween only to discover that the color won't come out? Don't give up hope. Reach for the baking soda, liquid soap and shampoo. Make a paste the consistency of thick shampoo, work it well into your hair, concentrate on your hair, not your scalp - then rinse thoroughly. No more green!

myleshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06988670887033199136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7556296296334986450.post-29751772297196464612009-09-30T14:14:00.000-07:002009-09-30T14:17:18.837-07:00How to Survive A Flood
If floodwaters are coming, and you have some time to prepare, use the list below to help minimize the risk to your home and family.

General Flood Precautions

Make sure you have a working radio with spare batteries. A radio is an indespensible tool for keeping in the loop about what is going on. Most local radio stations will provide updates and instructions up to and during the flood.

Prepare and emergency kit that includes food, water, and medical supplies. It should be in an easy to carry container. Some of the supplies that you will want to include will be.

Flashlight with spare batteries

Warm clothing (waterproof outewear is recommended)

Blankets

Necessary medication

Infant care items like diapers, diaper cream, medications, and wipes. You may also want to put a toy or two in the kit to help keep them occupied

Personal toiletries (makeup, toothbrush, toothpaste).

Identification (passport, drivers license, family documents)

Other Important Preparations:

If possible, move furniture, appliances and personal belongings above ground level (i.e. second story)

IMPORTANT: Move chemicals (pesticides, house-hold cleaners) away from the immediate area to minimize polution

Remove toilet bowls, and plug basement sewer drains / connections with a plug (use whatever you have to)

If possible, protect your home with sandbags (usually provided by your local government office)

Evacuation Tips

If you do need to get out of Dodge, here are a few things to consider for your safe departure.

Vacate your home when you are advised by local emergency authorities. We have all seen movies where someone is stranded and the rescue crews have to risk their lives to come back to save them. That happens in real life too, so don't ignore the warnings.

When you leave, take your 72 emergency kit with you.

Follow the designated routes closely. These are usually clearly marked and they are there for a reason. Ignoring them may lead you to a blocked off area or dangerous zone.

If you can, leave a note for others when you left and where you went.

If you are vacating in your car, try not to drive through flood waters. Currents can sweep your car away. However, if you are caught in fast-rising waters and your car stalls, get out and leave it behind.

Being involved in a flood is a terrible thing to have to go through, so be prepared; your survival depends on it.

myleshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06988670887033199136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7556296296334986450.post-68132290098421189992009-08-23T13:10:00.000-07:002009-08-23T13:11:45.831-07:00Diamond's are Girls Best FriendWho does’nt love to get a gift of jewelry? Who doesn’t know how to care for it?

1) Rubbing Alcohol is great for cleaning costume jewelry. Pour a little rubbing alcohol over the piece – place the jewelry in a shallow dish or small container first and gently brush with a soft toothbrush. A word of caution: many costume pieces are glued and soaking can loosen the glue. Try not to saturate. Finish with a quick rinse in cool water and wipe dry.

2) Costume jewelry that doesn’t contain glue can be cleaned with denture – cleaning tablets. Drop a few tablets in a cup of warm water and allow the jewelry to soak for 5 minutes or so. Rinse and dry well. For intricate pieces, dry with clean blower.

3) Remove dirt from intricate pieces by brushing with a soft bristle toothbrush and
some white, non gel toothpaste. Rinse by brushing with a clean toothbrush and just water and dry well.

myleshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06988670887033199136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7556296296334986450.post-71049466646962117922009-08-16T08:21:00.000-07:002011-04-24T16:33:24.394-07:00Zenni Optical for KidsI saw Zenni Optical on TV!!! The same eyeglasses who brought you the most famous $ 8 Rx eyeglasses was featured on Fox news because of its cheap but durable eyeglasses! Try this: Boil several veggies in a pot with some fresh beef soup bones, remove once soft, then srain and mash. Place in ice cube trays. Cover in foil and freeze. Once frozen, transfer to individual plastic bags (ice bags work just fine), label with the date then pop in the freezer. This will keep for about siz weeks without spoiling. Whenever your baby is hungry, you can just reheat the desired mashed veggie in the microwave, let cool, and serve. Each ice cube yields about two tablespoons of food. Mix different once if you want.
