Carpets

To repair frayed edges of rugs, cut off the loose threads and dab some transparent glue along the entire edge. The glue won't be noticeable when it dries.

Reducing Noise In A Room

If you're a call center professional like me, I bet you know how much we value quietness in a room. Here's some tips on how to reduce noise in a room.

1) Insulate the floor

2) Build up mass in the walls by adding another layer of dry wall

3) Finish the ceiling, walls and floors with sound absorbent materials such as cork, rubber tile, or carpeting.

4) Cover windows with heavy drapes another form of movable insulation.

5) If the noise is coming outside like a nearby highway, consider landscaping with shrubbery or fences to create a sound buffer.
